The practice of yoga brings about a harmonization of body, mind and soul! Yoga is very versatile. In addition to spiritual practices, there is yoga nidra, breathing exercises (pranayama) and many different meditation techniques and mudras (hand gestures). Yoga became known in the West primarily through the body postures (asanas). I like to work with yoga in relaxation but also in spiritual counseling.

Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra is a systematic method to achieve complete mental, emotional and physical relaxation. The exercise is usually performed in Shavasana (lying on the back), but can also be performed sitting.

Swami Satyananda Saraswati has created an exercise from ancient tantric sources that allows modern people in our hectic, overstimulated times to easily enter this revitalizing and receptive state for body and mind. Yoga Nidra also trains the memory, improves concentration and promotes joyful learning.

Yoga breathing exercises and gestures:

Pranayama: “Ayama” means to control/lead/direct, “Prana” has a double meaning. On the one hand, “Prana” means life energy and on the other hand, Prana also means breath. So Pranayama is on the one hand the control of the breath, i.e. breathing exercises, and on the other hand everything we do to control Prana, i.e. our life energy.

Mudras: Mudras are used to direct and harmonize certain energies in the body (e.g. by releasing blockages). Energy is released through acupressure points that are pressed during the mudras. Mudras are mainly performed with the hands, but also with the eyes, lips and the body.
